How to know if a suit fits 

A suit for a man is like a little black dress for a woman.

1 The shoulders of the jacket end where the shoulder joint ends.

2. The open palm slides easily between the body and the lapels when the top or middle button is buttoned. The hand clenched in a fist between the body and the lapels causes tension in the button area.

3. The top button of the jacket (if there are two) and the middle button (if there are three) are above the belly button.

4. The length of the jacket ends at the line where the fingers of the hands begin.

5. The sleeve length ends at the line where the wrist joins the thumb of the hand. 

6. The shirt cuff is visible from under the sleeve of the jacket.

7. The three-inch cuffs of the pants lie on the boot, forming a small notch in the front.
